France, the SILO horizontal carrousel is particularly appreciated
for the classification of medical files.
Clinics and Hospitals find in it an ideal solution to keep files with
heterogeneous formats (administration files, X rays, medical files—).
The SILO is also used in public services such as the C.P.A.M. (the
French National Health Service) where clerks may directly call the
files to their working stations (2 level SILO horizontal carrousel).
The Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie (the City of Sciences and Industry)
also stores 4 km of technical files and plans in an Electroclass SILO.
 In
Italy, libraries have adopted the SILO solution to keep and deliver
books.
The Vatican Library, which will be opened in 2000, is not an exception
to this rule.
Still in Italy, about one hundred courts keep their files in Electroclass
SILOÃs.
